TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor William Edward Ayrton, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date6 July 1900
DescriptionCouncil adopted the recommendation of the House Committee to accept Messrs Spagnoletti & Crookes' tender for the electric lighting installation and Harrison is directed to write to the firm officially to that affect, but would like before doing so to settle the terms of the letter with Ayrton, especially with reference to the question of the supervision under which the work is to be carried out, and the arrangements which will have to be made at the Society preliminary to its commencement. Will be glad if Ayrton can see him on the subject at his early convenience. Notes he is going abroad at the end of the month and he should know well before then what parts of the building will be distributed by the work.
