TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor William Edward Ayrton, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date10 July 1900
DescriptionThanks Ayrton for his letter, Harrison has seen Sir Courtenay Boyle and gathers that is is probable that the Royal Society and London County Tramways Company will not be able to agree upon a report. In this case it will be important that the Society are able to bring forward evidence that insulation is possible and not too expensive. Harrison has written to Preece, without mentioning Ayrton's letter, and asked if he will support the Society. He will also write to [John] Perry. It is most desirable that all that can be done is carried out within the next few days. Ayrton will be out of town till Monday and asks Ayrton and Perry to do what they can. Provides temporary address.
