TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to the editor, 'Chemical News'
Date12 July 1900
DescriptionHas learned that in their number for 6 July an uncorrected version of Lord Rayleigh's [John William Strutt] paper on viscosity of gases has been published.

All papers read at the Royal Society and published in advance by outside journals are understood to be furnished by the Society's printers on abstractions from the Society's office and instructions are not given until the papers are corrected and ready for press. A pull of Rayleigh's paper would have been sent to the 'Chemical News' in due course and Harrison is sure the editor will appreciate the necessity of observing the Society's rules of procedure.
