TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to the Secretary, Western Society of Engineers, Chicago
Date21 September 1900
DescriptionAcknowledges the Secretary's letter suggesting an exchange of publications and the accompanying number of the Society's journal. Additions to the exchange list are mainly governed by the consideration of whether or not the Royal Society's publications already reach the town from which the application comes and the Society's list already has four entries under Chicago. Notes also that the Western Society is devoted to technical science whilst the Royal Society is primarily concerned with pure science. Harrison therefore does not think the Library Committee would advise an exchange.
