TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Walter Gardiner, Fellow of the Royal Society, and Arthur W Hill
Date8 October 1900
DescriptionStates the title of Gardiner and Hill's paper, 'The Histology of the Cell Wall, &c. Part II. The distribution and character o f 'Connecting Threads' in the Tissues of Pinus sylvestris & other Allied species'. It is undesirable to publish a paper in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' as part II of a series of which the earlier part has not appeared. It is therefore proposed to publish Hill's paper under its own title, with a footnote indicating it is part of a larger research upon which Gardiner and Hill are engaged. Enclosure identifies several observations requiring attention, and Harrison asks if the authors are prepared to carry these out.
