TitleCopy letter from an unknown correspondent, to Sir Michael [Foster], Fellow of the Royal Society
Date15 October 1900
DescriptionThe Society's edition of the Report of the Colour Vision Committee is completely exhausted and the last spare sheets of the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' number containing this report have been bound up some time ago. There is always a fairly steady demand for this publication and the author has now received an application for 100 copies. The letter author thinks this calls for a reprint. The printers state that it would pay if they printed 200 copies but the author is hesitant to proceed without some assurance that the Colour Vision Committee would be content with a new edition without any amendment or additions. Asks Foster's opinion somewhat urgently on the matter.

Thanks Foster for his letter of this morning and is showing Foster's two drafts to Professor [Arthur William] Rucker.
