DescriptionEncloses an account from the Admiralty for costs incurred in connection with the conveyance of observers and apparatus for the recent eclipse [not enclosed]. Finds that on a previous eclipse a similar account was discharged by the Joint Permanent Eclipse Committee.

Is obliged by Grove-Hills' letter of the 16 December in reply to a letter Harrison wrote on 14 December to the Chairman of the Joint Permanent Eclipse Committee. Explains why the letter concerning meetings of the Committee being held at the Royal Society, did not require a reply.
