DescriptionAccepts Rothchild's offer to give Kempe a cheque for the amount of securities standing in the Royal Societies name, in which the Sylvester Medal Fund was invested by Rothschild, as Treasurer of the fund.

Encloses certificates for the £100 London and North Western Railway consolidated stock, and £120 of the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway deferred ordinary stock, together with transfers duly executed by Rothschild [no enclosures].

Is also sending a power of attorney empowering Messrs Robarts, Lubbock & Company to transfer the £380 Egyptian three and a half per cent preference stock, together with a letter instructing them to transfer the same to Rothschild [not enclosed]. Asks Rothschild to sign these and forward them to the Messrs.

Explains why the cheque should be for £799-9-6.
