TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir [William Napier] Shaw, Fellow of the Royal Society, Meteorological Society, 63 Victoria Street, S.W.
Date7 May 1901
DescriptionShaw's letter to Professor [Arthur William] Rucker has been shown to Sir Michael Foster as he drew up the letter to the President of the Royal Meteorological Society. Foster has authorized Harrison to write at once, and not wait for Rucker, to say he regrets the ambiguous wording of his letter, and that it was certainly the Council's intention that the appointment to the Meteorological Council should be personal to Mr Dines and not an ex officio membership.
