Reverend [Thomas Roscoe Rede] Stebbing recommends it should be awarded to Dr Arthur Willey for his research on 'Nautilus' and publish the sixth part of his results.

Professor [Thomas George Bond] Howes recommends it should be given to Dr M H R Rivers for investigating the colour vision and other psychological observations and the social organization of the Todas and other hill tribes of Southern India. This suggestion is backed by Professor [Alfred Cort] Haddon.
