TitleCopy letter from Arthur [WIlliam] Rucker, to Sir William Huggins, President of the Royal Society
Date24 June 1901
DescriptionRucker has looked up Wood's paper ['On the Production of a Line Spectrum by Anomalous Dispersion, and its Application to the Flash Spectrum'] in the 'Astrophysical Journal', and it is clearly not an anticipation of his present work, as two different methods of experimentation have been used. Thompson thought it was excellent and worthy of being published in 'Proceeding [of the Royal Society]' if not 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. Thinks it will be best to hand Huggins the paper to look through it.
