Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor [Robert Bellamy] Clifton, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 26 June 1901 |
Description | Harrison has communicated with [Shelford] Bidwell and he has expressed willingness to attend and take the chair at a meeting of Clifton's committee. Harrison has sent the minutes for next week's meeting to press without the part about Searle and Bedford's paper. The referees for Mr Watson's paper are Professor adams and [Richard Tetley] Glazebrook. The paper is now with Adams. Harrison presumes he may act on what [Arthur William] Rucker decides regarding referees for Shaw and Cohen.
Clarifies the Treasurers warning to the Chairmen of the Sectional Committees by explaining that they need to start taking into consideration the cost of papers in relation to their scientific value. They must be sterner in getting authors to compress their work. |
