| Description | Yesterday the Physiology Committee did not take to the Beri-beri enquiry as readily as might have been hoped. They have deferred the consideration to a special meeting to be held next Thursday, and they have asked for Dr [Patrick] Manson to attend to give them some more information.
The points under question are the cost of the investigation, the desirability of carrying it out single-handed and the qualification of the man who proposes to carry it out. Halliburton has asked Harrison to inform Foster of the general grounds on which they have thought it desirable to give special consideration to the proposal. |
