DescriptionThe Observatories Committee of the Royal Society wishes to inform them that two meetings have been held to consider the reports upon the Kodaikanal and Madras Observatories, and of the Colaba Observatory for 1899-1900, which had been forwarded to the Astronomer Royal by the India Office, and the programme of the work to be undertaken at the Kodaikanal Observatory forwarded to the Royal Society on the 13 June. Rucker reports some of these circumstances are regarded as unsatisfactory.

The Committee provides them with a break down of the recommended programme of work, including: Solar physics work, meteorological observations and other observations.
