DescriptionWhite sends three advance proofs of the Cape Adare 'Southern Cross' meteorological observations. They are presented by the Royal Society for the use of observers on the Discovery and [Robert William Frederick] Harrison has been directed to hand them to Longhurst with an urgent request that he will be good enough to take them down to the ship. White would have sent them by post, but the printers did not have them ready.
