TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Thomas George Bonney, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date9 October 1901
DescriptionThe Funafuti plates have arrived in four enormous cases weighing 'more than a ton'. Harrison does not like to unpack them but they are somewhat in the way. Queries if it would be best for them to go direct to Harrisons, or whatever printers it to be employed on the monograph and let them unpack and check them.

Notes the carman who brought the cases presented a demand for between one and two pounds and refused to deliver them without payment. Does not know if there is any protection against this sort of thing. Harrison has suffered this before and objects to this sort of behaviour.
