TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Dukinfield Henry Scott, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date9 October 1901
DescriptionEncloses a copy of a letter received this morning from Messrs Few & Company [not enclosed], which is the first definite news of Frost [engraver] and the missing plates. The news accords with Harrison's suspicions and his inclination is to write at once to the German firm mentioned requesting them to complete the work as quickly as possible and send it to the Society direct. Queries if Scott agrees.

It seems that Frost has 'taken to drink', and this probably accounts for his neglect of the Society's letter and for the difficulties with the German firm.
