TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Jagadis Chunder Bose, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date8 October 1901
DescriptionNotice was sent to Bose on 29 July that the paper Bose read on 6 June had been placed in the Society's archives. As far as the Society is concerned the paper was been dealt with. Fresh results must be sent in as a new paper and communicated anew by a Fellow.

Notes that Bose's method of continually supplementing his paper by large additions, and of referring to some 'further Paper' to be sent in in the future, is not adopted by most authors. Papers should be as far as possible self contained and if a preliminary note is sent in it should as far as possible be maintained in its original form until the finished work is ready for publication. As Bose's note recently sent in has not been communicated by a Fellow Rucker returns it.
