Date16 October 1901
DescriptionA communication has been received from Otto Nordenskjöld writing on behalf of the Swedish Antarctic Expedition and making application for certain volumes of the Reports of the 'Challenger' Observations for the use of the Swedish Expedition. The letter has been delayed at Cambridge awaiting the return of the Senior Secretary from abroad and now that the Society has the authority of His Majesty's Treasury to present the desired volumes to the expedition, uncertainty arises as to where the expedition is at present. Asks for any information as to the present whereabouts of the ship 'Antractic' and any suggestions as to the best means of getting the volumes to the expedition.
