Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Alfred Bray Kempe, Treasurer, Royal Society |
Date | 5 November 1901 |
Description | By accident Harrison's draft minutes of the Gassiot Committee Meetings last year have been mislaid. Asks Kempe to glance over the enclosed draft [not enclosed] and advise if it correctly records the proceedings. Presumes a meeting of the Committee will have to be held very soon.
The Bank of England have raised an 'absurd' objection to the Power of Attorney executed last week and explains how he has proceeded in the matter, noting they seem to make fresh difficulty every time the Society needs to seal a document for them. Annotated the since writing this he has heard from [Messrs] Robarts that the bank has withdrawn their objection and the sale has been completed. |
