TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Louis Napoleon George Filon, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date12 November 1901
DescriptionWith reference to the printing of Filon's 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' paper, he will have three proofs asked for but can not guarantee that Filon will receive them early in December as it is a heavy and complicated paper to get ready in less than a month. There are 16 complicated curve diagrams which the Society would prefer to make into figures to be printed among the letterpress, some as full page blocks and some as half or quarter page blocks. They would like Filon's approval or otherwise on this course. The engraver would like to know what squares Filon would like reproduced in the diagrams and whether the scale on which they are reproduced must be one and the same throughout.

Notes the printers usually wait till the blocks are done in order that they may insert them in the letterpress before they pull proofs.
