| Description | Hopes Larmor safely received the Treasury letter about the National Physical Laboratory. Apologizes that he forgot to tell Larmor that he had received back the Adams papers.
Had Larmor's draft letter to the India Office about the Observatories Committee copied out when this morning copies of the Madras Observatories Report where received, for which [William Henry Mahoney] Christie had been waiting. The letter will therefore require modification and Harrison encloses it for this purpose [not enclosed]. Encloses a personal letter from Belfast [not enclosed].
If Larmor will be at the Society on Friday the Treasurer [Alfred Bray Kempe] will see Larmor. Harrison has been talking to the Treasurer regarding the galvanometer and the hole in the wall and Harrison wants the Treasurer to talk over the matter with Larmor. Has also seen Dr Waller and suggested Waller discuss the suitability of the instrument with Larmor. |
