DescriptionProfessor [William Abbott] Herdman, Chairman of the Zoology Committee, being out of England, Sir M Foster has desired Harrison to ask if Bateson will act as his Deputy during his absence, and particularly at the present time, for the purpose of arranging a meeting of the Zoology Committee to consider the question referred to them by Council with regard to the award of the Darwin Medal for Professor Grassi in 1896. Discusses a suitable time for a meeting.
