TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Edward Albert Sharpey-Schafer, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date29 January 1902
DescriptionIn answer to Sharpey-Schafer's enquiry regarding the Society's system of index slips, Harrison encloses blank copies of the circular sent out to authors with proofs of their papers, and copies of sample index slips as printed. Explains the process of completing the slips. A single slip is issued for each 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' paper and a combined slip with each number of the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. With the latter the practice is only to issue index entires for the full paper, not the abstracts.
