TitleCopy letter from Sir William Huggins, to Professor Rudolf Ludwig Karl Virchow
Date13 October 1901
DescriptionThe Royal Society sends Virchow hearty greeting on his eightieth birthday, and states his accomplishments are so great that had there been no special link between him and the Royal Society, the Fellows would have felt duty bound to send their best regards anyway.

The Royal Society sends by the fitting hands of Lord [Joseph] Lister its best wishes that his remaining days are full of all the good things he richly deserves.
