Date26 April 1902
DescriptionPresident and Council are willing to arrange for the scientific outfit and necessary honoraria for the expedition to Uganda to study sleeping sickness, but propose that all other expenses are undertaken by H M Treasury.

They have requested Dr G Low, Craggs Scholar of the London School of Tropical Medicines to accept the position of leader, and Mr Sowdon of the London Hospital to accept the post of bacteriologist. A third person is also desirable. The expedition will last about nine months, and the observers will likely ready to start immediately.
