Title | Copy letter from Sir Michael Foster, to The Secretary of H M Treasury, S.W. |
Date | 21 February 1901 |
Description | The Royal Society hopes that the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury will be willing to take the necessary steps in order that the Observatories Protection Clause many be inserted in those bills before Parliament relating to the Electric Traction which appear likely to cause risk to the Magnetic Observations at Kew.
Encloses a list of the bills [see NLB/23/2/21] and points out that the London United Tramways is the one which especially seems to threaten risk to Kew. |
