DescriptionTheir letter of 9 October enclosing a copy of a letter from the Government of India relative to the continuance of the Committee appointed by the Royal Society to advise on matters connected with scientific research in India, was laid before President and Council and they wish to express their thanks for the explanation the Secretary of State has been good enough to give regarding their action in this matter.

They also add that it has been resolved to continue the Committee of Advice appointed by the Royal Society at the request of the Secretary of State.
