DescriptionPresident and Council would like to express their great satisfaction that the arrangements for Colonel Bruce's mission to Uganda to study the Sleeping Sickness outbreak have been so satisfactorily concluded. The Royal Society believe their is no member of the body whose hands they could with greater confidence entrust this grave task. They have every reason to hope to discover the cause of and devise a remedy for the outbreak.
