TitleLetter from Joseph Larmor and Archibald Geikie, to The Right Honorable The First Lord of H M Treasury
Date28 April 1904
DescriptionPresident and Council have received the letter from the Treasury postponing until autumn the further considerations of the 'constructive proposals' for the future work of the National Physical Laboratory. Runs through the establishment of the Laboratory and its history.

Encloses a memorandum [no enclosure] of the Executive Committee giving evidence of the need of urgent consideration if the Laboratory is to carry out the work for which it was founded. Asks if they will receive a deputation to place before them the argument that an early decision as to the scope and status of the Laboratory is crucial as a foundation for a policy of future development.
