TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to The Under Secretary of State for the Colonies
Date27 May 1904
DescriptionPresident and Council have formed a Committee for the purpose of investigating Malta Fever. It comprises of Colonel Bruce from the War Office, Staff Surgeon Ernest A Shaw of H M S 'Vulcan' to represent the Navy, and Dr Zammit to represent the Colonial Office. It will be commenced without delay.

It would be of service if the Colonial Office could secure Major Horrocks, who has competence for this sort of research. It is also hoped that a scientific officer of the Army Medical Corps called up for the task may be granted increased subsistence allowance.
