Date16 June 1904
DescriptionPresident and Council have had under their consideration a proposal made by Mr Chalmers of the Treasury. He states that in the investigation of Malta Fever the personal expenses will be defrayed by H M Government, but said it would be helpful if the Royal Society would mark the sense of importance of the enquiry by undertaking the cost of scientific equipment. President and Council have resolved to pay for this out of the Reserve Fund of the Government Grant to an amount not exceeding £300.
