Date7 July 1904
DescriptionPresident and Council have considered their letter regarding the official participation of this country in the Fourth Congress of the International Scientific Commission of Aerostation. The Royal Society have been in correspondence with the Foreign Office about the organization of International Aeronautics. They are still of the opinion that the international investigations are of great value in the problems of meteorology. Therefore they think the Government should appoint a scientific representative to attend the Congress, and nominate Dr William Napier Shaw.
