| Description | Harrison had already heard from Herr Meyer on the subject of photographing the Spinoza letters a year ago, and has been in contact with him recently. He an anticipate the Council's approval. Meyer wants the Royal Society to provide the photographs, and Sir Michael Foster has given orders for this to be executed. However there is scant funds for such work, and if Dr Mond or someone would pay for it afterwards it would be a relief.
Sends him a paragraph from the Daily Express this morning, which he assures is a fabrication. A lady journalist did call yesterday, but only the hall porter saw her. Harrison proposes to write to the editor in his own defence, but the Secretaries think it is not worth taking notice of. |
