DescriptionHarrison will lay their letter of 29 May before Dr [Joseph] Larmor. The Royal Society have received the curves belonging to Gifford's paper which is now going forward for publication. Regarding [Charles Vernon] Boys' publication in the 'Philosophical Magazine', they have looked back as far as 1885 and the only one they can find which has reference to his present investigations is 'Note on Professor Threlfall's paper "On the Elastic Constants of Quartz Threads"', which appeared in volume 30 of the 5 series, 1890.
