TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, to Professor Karl Pearson, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date23 June 1902
DescriptionThe resolution of the Committee of Papers was that Pearson's paper should be passed for 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]', but that they think it desirable that pure Mathematical Theory of Statistics should be separated as much as possible from applications of statistics to special sciences.

Larmor merely reported to him regarding Miss Cave's paper as instructed, he has not had time to read it himself,. Thinks that the referee means it is a 'scientist in more than name', in the usual sense.
