TitleCopy letter and extracts from referee's reports from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to J C W Humfrey, care of Professor James Alfred Ewing, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date29 July 1902
DescriptionWith reference to Ewing's paper 'Effects of Strain on the Crystalline Structure of Lead', the Committee of the Society have difficulty recommending it for publication in its present form, chiefly on account of the expense of reproducing the illustrations, several of which seem unnecessary. Details extracts of referee's reports on the paper. Queries if Humfrey would be willing to reduce the number of photographs or diminish their size, and publish only a half of them.
