TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Gilbert Grindle, 62 Abingdon Road, Kensington, W. and Colonial Office
Date4 November 1902
DescriptionIs sorry to have missed seeing Grindle the previous day. As a result of Grindle's memorandum Harrison at once telegraphed Sir Michael Foster and has summoned the Malaria Committee of the Royal Society to meet tomorrow afternoon when it is hoped it will be possible at once to make a recommendation to Mr Chamberlain. Asks Grindle to acquaint Chamberlain with the steps the Society is taking in the matter and assure him that a reply to his enquiry will be sent with the least possible delay.

A copy of the memorandum Grindle left at the Society is being sent round to all members of the Committee so that they may have an opportunity before the Meeting to consider the name of a person to suggest for the service required in South Africa [to investigate an outbreak of redwater].
