TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Joseph Larmor, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date7 November 1902
DescriptionThe enclosed came this morning from Sir Arthur Rucker [not enclosed] and Harrison showed it to Sir M Foster. Foster agrees that in view of the fact that Rucker, in an earlier stage of the Observatories Committee's proceedings, furnished a separate memorandum for the India Office on the magnetic observations, that this might be sent to the India Office by itself as an appendix to the Committee's report, contributed by Rucker. Foster wishes to gain Larmor's concurrence before proceeding with this.

Encloses a letter from Professor [Arthur William] Schuster on the same subject and a proof received this morning with suggested amendments from Sir Norman Lockyer [no enclosures].

Concerning the aeronautics matter, the letters have gone to the aeronautical and two meteorological Societies, but no letter appears to have been written to the Foreign Office. Queries if Larmor intended awaiting for the replies before writing to the Foreign Office.

Encloses a memorandum for Larmor's reply [not enclosed].
