TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to the Under Secretary of State for India
Date29 July 1902
DescriptionWith reference to the Under Secretary's letter of 11 July, the Observatories Committee held a meeting considering a programme of future work for the Indian Meteorological Department. The Committee conferred with Mr Eliot, the Meteorological Reporter, and Colonel Gore, the Surveyor General, and had before it the report of Mr Eliot.

The Committee think the preparation of a detailed programme of work is a matter of great importance and requires considerable discussion. They have formulated general recommendations which they wish to communicate to the Under Secretary at once to see if they meet his approval.
