TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to F Marrick, University of Pennsylvania
Date1 December 1902
DescriptionWith reference to Marrick's letter of 13 December proposing an exchange of publications, a similar proposal came before the Library Committee earlier in the year. The Committee recommended that the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' should be granted, and Harrison advised Marrick of this in a letter dated 26 July 1902. The letter stated the Committee were unable to recommend a grant of the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' mainly on account of the heavy expense of the production of that publication. Under these circumstances Harrison does not think it would be worthwhile bringing Marrick's application before the Committee until some considerable interval has elapsed.
