DescriptionThe Royal Society has recently instituted a new medal under the terms of the will of the late Professor D E Hughes FRS. The medal is gold tone and will be awarded annually, the expense being met from the Hughes Medal Fund. Asks if in continuation of past favours the Society will take charge of the dies and strike the medal for the Society annually at the same time as they strike the other medals of the Society.
