TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to, Sir Clement Hill
Date23 January 1903
DescriptionHarrison writes personally on some matters relating to the Sleeping Sickness investigation, as Sir Michael Foster is laid up with Influenza. Lieutenant Colonel David Bruce is very keen to avoid any delays and would like to make sure accommodation is prepared straight away for when he and his party arrive in Uganda. They will need living arrangements for himself, his wife, who is his assistant, Dr Nabarro and Corporal Gibbons, who is an orderly. Sir John Kirk is in the area and could help with this.

A letter from Dr Low states that the hospital has been moved from Entebbe to one of the islands, which presents some difficulty for the location of the Laboratory. Instructions should be given to Dr Moffatt and the Medical Staff to assist Bruce in any way possible. Understands an honorarium of £500 will be paid to Bruce, and £5 a month to Gibbons. Mrs Bruce will pay her own sea passage.
