Description | 1. Sending a letter from the Vice-Chancellor at Cambridge. Sir Michael Foster suggests setting up a Committee to cooperate with the Cambridge Council. He suggests Lord Kelvin and Rayleigh, Professors [George] Carey Foster, [George Downing] Liveing, [Augustus Edward Hough] Love, Council and the Officers.
2. Showed the letter from Lord George Hamilton to Foster to Foster. He suggests Huggins consults Rayleigh on Professor [Jagadis Chunder] Bose, as he has communicated papers by him before. Foster reminds Huggins that Bose has tended towards more speculative considerations in his recent papers, which have not commended themselves to physiologists or physicists.
3. Sending a letter from Theodor Graf, and forwarding the plates he has sent [no enclosures]. |
