TitleCopy letter from Sir Michael Foster to, The Under Secretary of State for India, India Office, Whitehall, S.W.
Date5 April 1903
DescriptionThe Royal Society fully shares the view of the Marquis of Lansdowne that there can be no objection to the despatch of an officer of the Indian Medical Service to join the Sleeping Sickness Commission. Foster outlines the history of the Commission for the benefit of Lord George Hamilton, explaining that it originally consisted of Drs Low, Christy and Castellani, but their results did not furnish a complete solution, so Lieutenant Colonel [David] Bruce was despatched. If Captain Greig joins the Commission, he should place himself under the directions of Bruce.
