TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to, Rear Admiral Sir William Wharton, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date11 June 1903
DescriptionHarrison has looked through the list of manuscripts very carefully, and cannot find mention of the journal of Sir James Ross. The only papers by Captain Sabine that the Royal Society has are a number dealing with magnetic subjects and dated 1818, which is of course too early. There are also no records in the Library of Arctic Explorations, though there are books of observations, meteorological and otherwise, which bear on this subject.
