TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to the Secretary to His Majesty's Treasury, Whitehall, S.W.
Date16 July 1903
DescriptionThe Challenger Committee of the Royal Society has received an application from Professor Herdman of the University of Liverpool for the presentation of some of the 'Challenger' reports to the Marine Biological Station of the University at Port Erin. The Committee think the library of the laboratory as distinguished from the library of the university should possess copies of the reports. The laboratory already posses volumes three, eight, twelve, fourteen, nineteen, twenty seven and twenty nine. The Committee strongly urge the Lords to present to the laboratory all the zoological reports which can be supplied from the broken sets. If the Lords approve of this proposal the volumes should be addressed to the Library care of Mr Chadwick, Marine Biological Station, Port Erin, Isle of Man.
