TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to William Bateson, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date27 July 1903
DescriptionSir M Foster wishes Harrison to consult Bateson as Chairman of the Zoology Committee, in connection with the printing of the plates to the paper by Messrs Keeble and Gamble on the colour physiology of the higher crustacea. The current estimate is £100 for the six coloured plates. This is for the reproduction of the colours exactly as the authors originals, which means as many as five printings for some of the plates. As the expense is so great Harrison is to consult Bateson before proceeding. Asks if any of the colours could be dispensed with without materially detracting from the utility of the reproduction and if all the colours are necessary.

Sends the referee's reports on the paper [not enclosed] and on hearing Bateson is at home will send the original drawings by the author.
