TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to Professor William Carmichael McIntosh, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date29 July 1903
DescriptionThe paper by Mr W Wallace 'On the Oocyte of the Tomopteris', which McIntosh communicated, has been reported on by two referees who agree the paper is not suitable in its present form for publication by the Society. Encloses an extract from the reports of the two referees for information [not enclosed]. As the paper has been formally read before the Society it cannot be withdrawn absolutely. Thinks it would be well to advise the author to postpone any idea of publication until the observations have been extended and his illustrations are ready. In the meantime the paper already sent in would be preserved and the author could make a copy if he likes.
