TitleCopy letter from A H White, to William Bateson, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date7 August 1903
DescriptionMr Harrison is away. White has shown Bateson's letter on the Keeble and Gamble plates to Sir M Foster, who has looked over the plates and carefully considered Bateson's suggestions. Foster thinks the reduction by one plate, equal to a saving of say £15, is on the whole hardly worthwhile. Further consideration and correspondence with the authors on the subject might leaf to further delay and the paper has already been 13 months in hand. Foster thinks they had better go forward with the paper as it is and White is therefore communicating with the lithographer. If any economy can be introduced, he will endeavour to procure it.
